Who may use Follicare®?

Follicare® may be used by individuals 18 and older. Men will receive 5% Extra Strength Minoxidil. Women should purchase Follicare® for Women, which comes with 2% Minoxidil.

Will Follicare® work for me?

The amount of hair regrowth is different for each person. Follicare® provides you with a host of key clinically proven ingredients and minoxidil which together regrows hair. So you can be sure you are getting a powerful arsenal to help you fight multiple causes of hair loss, not just one.

Can I use Follicare® with other hair loss treatments?

Yes. Follicare® can be used by itself or together with other hair loss treatments to maximize results. You can use Follicare® before and after hair transplant surgery and in conjunction with laser hair treatment. You can also use Follicare® with prescription hair growth products, although it is recommended that you consult your doctor first.

How soon can I expect results from using Follicare®?

After a few weeks you will notice less hair loss. Some hair loss is normal (even those with the healthiest heads of hair lose around 100 hairs a day), but you should start to notice less hair in the shower drain or on your comb or brush. Your existing hair should also start to appear thicker and healthier. Sometime in the second month you should start to notice new hair growth (some will notice it sooner). Please remember that hair only grows a ½ inch to 1 inch a month in most of us. Be patient, by the end of the second or third month you should start to notice a difference in your photographs (and others will notice for you!)!

If Follicare® is working, what will the new hair look like?

At first, hair growth may be soft, downy, lighter color hair. After further use, the new hair should be the same color and thickness as the other hairs on your scalp.

How long do I need to use Follicare®?

Most of our customers see their best results in about 6-8 months. You could start seeing results after just 8 weeks of using the product. New hair growth will be fine at that time. You should also notice at this time that you are not losing nearly as much hair as you had been prior to using Follicare®. After six to twelve months of continued use as directed, you should see your best results. As with any product that is correcting an unwanted condition, continued use will be needed to maintain the results you desire and continue the hair growth process. However, once you achieve your desired results, you can maintain your results by using Follicare® only 2 - 4 times per week, although we recommend continued daily use for better results.

Can I use Follicare® more than twice a day? Will it work faster or better?

No. Follicare® will not work faster or better if used more than directed. Healthy hair takes time to grow.

What will I experience when using the Follicare® Topical Spray?

The Follicare® Topical Spray contains natural vasodilators, which can cause a mild tingling sensation. Users have reported this effect to decrease after one or two weeks of continuous use. In addition, when you first start using Follicare®, you may see some reddening of the scalp and feel a slight heat sensation. This will dissipate after approximately 30 minutes. This minor discomfort is for a good reason! It is the result of increased blood flow in the area that is bringing necessary nutrients to the hair follicle to help you grow new hair. After a few days of use, these slight symptoms will become much less noticeable.

What happens if I choose not to use the Extra Strength 5% Minoxidil?

For optimal results, we encourage you to use the minoxidil although many have experienced great results without it.

Can I use hair sprays, mousse, or conditioner along with the topical spray?

Yes. There is no need to change your usual hair care routine when using Follicare®, however, you should apply the topical spray before applying styling aids. It is recommended that you let your hair air dry for 5 - 10 minutes before blow drying. The topical spray can be adapted into your hair styling regime. You need to find the one that works best for you.

Can I have my hair colored or permed or use hair relaxers while using Follicare®?

We have no information that these treatments change the effect of Follicare®. To avoid possible scalp irritation, you should make sure all of the topical solution has been washed off the hair and scalp before using these chemicals.

What if I miss an application or dosage?

If you miss one or two daily doses of the topical spray, nutritional supplement, or minxidil, just continue with your next dose. You should not make up for missed doses.

Can I apply the Follicare® Topical Spray and wash my hair an hour later?

For the Follicare® Topical Spray to work best, you should allow it to remain on the scalp for about 4 hours before washing.

Can I work out, go swimming, or go out in the rain?

If possible, apply Follicare® Topical Spray to a dry scalp after swimming, or wait about 4 hours after application before going swimming. If you are going to work out and sweat, wear a headband to prevent sweat from running into your eyes. Use proper precautions.
