No Harmful Sulfates

Sulfates are a common detergent added to shampoos. You’ll see them listed on most shampoo labels as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate or ammonium lauryl sulfate.

Sulphates tend to be harsh on the skin and have a drying effect on the hair and scalp. This doesn’t help you grow healthy hair. What’s more, sulfates can cause red, itchy bumps on the scalp, a condition known as contact dermatitis.
